FBI issued a search warrant on August 8

On August 8, the FBI issued a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago to obtain material related to possible violations of the Espionage Act. According to the search warrant receipt, the agents recovered the material labeled 'Top Secret.

Trump condemns the raid

Trump has denounced the raid as a weapon of the US justice system against him. He has claimed that all materials at his Mar-a-Lago residence have been removed.

'This shouldn't happen in America'

Trump said on Tuesday, 'The DOJ and the FBI have just returned my passport. Thank you! Unfortunately, when they raided my house at Mar-a-Lago 8 days ago, they simply opened their arms and grabbed everything, as a common criminal would do. This should not happen in America!'

Last week, US media reports said the FBI seized 11 sets of classified records, including 'top secret/sensitive compartment information, during a search of Trump's former Florida property at Mar-a-Lago earlier this week. Some content is marked as contained.

The judge authorized the FBI to search '45 offices' in Mar-a-Lago as well as 'all other rooms or areas' available to store boxes and documents for former President Trump and his staff.

The search warrant identifies three possible federal offenses as the rationale behind the search: violation of the Espionage Act, obstruction of justice, and criminal operation of government records. According to the unsealed warrant, the FBI collected photographs and information about the French president, among other things.

FBI removes boxes and photos from Trump's residence

According to CNN, one of the newly unsealed documents is a search warrant 'receipt' that revealed FBI agents had seized more than 20 boxes, binders of photographs, classified government documents, and other documents from the former president's resort and residence in Palm Beach, Florida. Removed sets of materials and a handwritten note.
