Gujarat Titans vice-captain and spin magician Rashid Khan has said that he is constantly working hard on his batting. Rashid, who has scored more than 1000 runs in ODI cricket for Afghanistan, wants to bat at numbers 4-5. Rashid was questioned by Dainik Bhaskar about his batting. Responding to this, he said that in T20 matches, he gets 5-6 balls in the last and has to go for big shots off every ball. In such a situation, sometimes he is successful, or many times he is not able to score runs.
Rashid further said- When I get to bat for the Afghanistan team in ODI cricket, there are around 15 overs left. In such a situation, I can play freely there. Rashid told that he is trying his best to bat at No. 4 and No. 5 in T20 cricket in the coming years to help the team win matches.
Rashid abstains from slow bowling
Rashid likes to call himself a quick spinner. He told that when he bowls at a fast pace, it is easier for him to catch the right foot. That's why he doesn't like to bowl slow. Rashid often bowls at more than 95 kmph.
Teams don't change when a match is lost
Regarding playing against his old team Sunrisers, Rashid said that it was very emotional. Then he was asked being the vice-captain, would you give another chance to Matthew Wade, who was flopping for four consecutive matches in the next match? In response to this question, Rashid said that if we lose a match and change the team, it does not happen in Gujarat Titans.
Talking about the loss, he said that we scored 15-20 runs less. In the first four overs, we had lost four wickets for 11 runs, from there the situation became a bit difficult. Bhuvi and Natarajan bowled well in the final overs and didn't give us a chance to open our hands.
Talking about the atmosphere of the team Gujarat Titans, Rashid said that we enjoy and support each other. We try to keep things simple. Every player is told his role and he is expected to perform in the same way. As a team, we believe that the mindset of all the players is more important than the result.
Rashid has taken a total of 99 wickets in IPL and is going to become the fastest bowler to take 100 wickets in IPL history after Lasith Malinga. On this achievement, he said that till 5-6 years ago, I could not even imagine that I would be able to play IPL. As a foreign player, continuing to play in the team and coming close to taking 100 wickets is a big achievement for me.
Regarding the problem of dew during bowling, Rashid said that he constantly practices with the weight ball. Because of this, they are not facing many problems in this situation.
