Fear of rapid spread of infection after lifting of corona restrictions in China, emphasis on increasing health facilities

With the withdrawal of major corona restrictions in China, the possibility of corona spreading again has increased. Worried about this, China has started insisting on expanding hospitals and increasing facilities. Due to strict corona restrictions under the Zero Covid policy, China's economic activities were banned and people were imprisoned in their homes. But fierce protests forced China to roll back the sanctions.

Chances of the rapid increase in infection

According to the news agency Reuters, many people are still afraid to go to crowded places due to the risk of infection. Leading epidemiologist Zhong Nanshan told state media that one person infected with the Omicron strain of the coronavirus can infect 18. After that, we will see hundreds, of thousands of people getting infected in major cities.

Emphasis on increasing health facilities

Due to Corona restrictions, China now wants to stop Corona by increasing health facilities instead of restrictions, giving a boost to its sluggish economy. Xi Jinping's government is officially committed to containing the transmission of the virus. But the new moves show the ruling Communist Party wants to jumpstart the economy without quarantining, traveling, or shutting down businesses, which have been slowed by the strict Zero Covid policy.

Corona cases are more than the recorded figures

According to China's National Health Commission, 10,815 new cases of the corona were registered in China on 10 December, while 13,811 cases were registered a day earlier. The health official said that 1661 new cases were found in Beijing on Saturday, which is much less than 3974 on December 6. But evidence suggests that this city of 22 million has a large number of cases. On the other hand, 54,319 new cases have been registered in neighboring South Korea on Sunday. This is the highest in three months.
