Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Discontinued: The government has canceled the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Aptitude Test 2022. The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India has issued information in this regard. It has been told in the information that the examination scheduled for 2022 has been canceled. Also, it is informed that KVPY will not be organized in the coming years also. As per the information, the KVPY fellowship will be included in the INSPIRE fellowship scheme.
Fellowship will continue till the completion of the term
Further, the Department of Science and Technology (DST) said that the Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Fellows will continue to receive their fellowship till the completion of their tenure as per the existing norms. DST has decided to include KVPY in Inspire Fellowship Scheme. KVPY Aptitude Test will not be conducted beyond the year 2022.
The national-level fellowship program
According to a statement on KVPY's website kvpy.iisc.ernet.in, ongoing KVPY Fellows will continue to receive fellowship as per norms from DST. KVPY was a national-level fellowship program under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. An aptitude test is conducted to shortlist young scientists for the fellowship scheme. Students from class 11th to the first year of basic science courses like BSc, BS, B Stat, B Math, Integrated MSc, and Integrated MS were eligible for the exam.

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY 2021) examination is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru for undergraduate, master's, and integrated degree fellowship programs in the field of science. It is a national-level fellowship of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. To be eligible for the fellowship, candidates need to appear and qualify in the Aptitude Test. Candidates are shortlisted for the fellowship based on their performance in the qualifying examination and an interview.
