New Delhi, March 13 (IANS) The Delhi Police on Friday registered a case over the screening of banned BBC documentary 'India's Daughter', based on the December 16, 2012 gang rape, in the slum where four of the convicts in the case used to live.
"We have registered an FIR (First Information Report) in this regard and investigation has been launched. It's not any incident... so no one has been named in the FIR," Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat told IANS.
Bhagat said the FIR has been registered at the R.K. Puram police station.
Independent filmmaker Ketan Dixit allegedly held a screening of the controversial documentary in south Delhi's Sant Ravidas Camp on Thursday.
The screening of 'India's Daughter' was banned in India after a public outrage and court's order.
Four days ago, it was also shown in Agra's Rup Dhanu Village.
Ketan Dixit, an activist working with an NGO - Stop Acid Attacks - had set up a projector at Ravidas Camp to show the documentary.
