Experts say that Pant is very careless at times and handing over the captaincy of the Test team to him right now may be a hasty decision.
The third option is that of Virat Kohli. Kohli has left the captaincy of India. However, considering the importance of this test, the team management may request him to captain a match. It remains to be seen whether this request is made to Virat or not and if it is done then he accepts it or not.
Second question Who will open with Shubmal Gill
Rohit Sharma is not only the captain of the team but he is also an opener. Opening in English condition is very challenging. In such a situation, the question has arisen that if Rohit does not play, then who will open with Shubman Gill?
For this also India has three options. The first option is Mayank Agarwal. After Rohit got corona infected, Mayank has been hurriedly associated with the team.
Another option is KS Bharat. Bharat batted well in the practice against Leicestershire and scored 70 runs in India's first innings.
Cheteshwar Pujara can be the third option. Pujara has been batting at number 3 and is capable of opening. Pujara has already opened the innings for the load 6 times.
Third question: Will Shreyas Iyer be included in the playing-11
Shreyas Iyer has scored three half-centuries and one century in the first four Test matches of his career. He was in strong form in Test cricket on Indian pitches. After this, the IPL started and a big flaw in Iyer's batting technique came to the fore in front of the world. He looks uncomfortable against short-length balls. In the T20 series against South Africa, he was also seen doing Iyer Struggle.
Shreyas's place is currently made at number 5. If the Indian team comes with five specialist bowlers, then only one of Iyer and Hanuma Vihari can get a place in the playing-11.
Fourth question: Will Ravichandran Ashwin play?
Ravichandran Ashwin became Corona positive before the departure of the England tour. However, he joined the team after recovery. Now the question arises whether Ashwin will get a chance in the playing-11 in England conditions? Last year, Ashwin got a chance in the final of the World Test Championship in England, but he was not included in the playing-11 in the four-Test matches against England.
