'G20 Infrastructure Working Group' meeting to be held in Pune, Australia and Brazil will be co-chairs

The two-day G20 Infrastructure Working Group (IWG) meeting will begin in Maharashtra's Pune on Monday. Here the participants will deliberate on different aspects of infrastructure investment. According to an official press release, India has invited 65 representatives of IWG member states, guest nations, and international organizations for the meeting to discuss the '2023 Infrastructure Agenda' under India's G20 chairmanship. Indian Union Ministers will attend this meeting.

 

Australia and Brazil will be co-chairs

It has also been told in the issued press release that this two-day meeting is being hosted by the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, and Government of India, in which Australia and Brazil will be co-chairs. The Pune meeting will focus on the agenda of the Infrastructure Working Group under the chairmanship of India.

 

The 'G20 Infrastructure Working Group' deliberates on various aspects of infrastructure investment. This includes developing infrastructure as an asset, promoting the quality of infrastructure investment, and identifying instruments for mobilizing financial resources for infrastructure investment. For many years, the 'G20 Infrastructure Working Group' has been focusing on key issues of infrastructure development. The theme of India's G20 presidency is 'One Earth, One Family, One Future', giving the message of equitable development.

 

Will be exposed to the culture and wealth of Pune

The meeting will discuss prioritizing the theme of 'Financing Tomorrow's Cities: Inclusive, Resilient and Sustainable'. On the first day, IWG representatives will hold several official meetings and discuss the 2023 Infrastructure Agenda. After this, he will also visit Pune University for a tree plantation. This will be followed by a workshop on 'Financing for Tomorrow's Cities'.

 

A dinner will also be organized at the end of the day which will be attended by all the members. Apart from formal discussions, all the delegates will also visit Pune Heritage Walk and Mahabaleshwar to visit the rich culture and beauty of Pune. The G20 is an intergovernmental forum of the world's major developed and developing economies.
