Government careful before Friday prayers in UP: 3 km area of Kanpur converted into cantonment; RRF-PAC deployed in 8 cities including Meerut-Saharanpur

Security has been increased in UP on Friday for Friday prayers. Kanpur has been put on high alert for the most part. Tension has not subsided so far after the violence here on June 3. A radius of 3 km of the violence-affected area has been converted into a cantonment. The police force, PAC, and RAF have been deployed. The DM and the commissioner did a route march with the force on Thursday night. Apart from this, vigilance is also being taken in Meerut, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Moradabad, and Kanpur.

 

Fear of deteriorating the atmosphere by sending Mukhtar Baba to jail in Kanpur

 

Taking action after the violence on June 3 on the new road of Kanpur, 58 people including the main accused have been sent to jail. Two days back, Mukhtar Baba, owner of Baba Biryani, has been sent to jail for funding the accused of violence. The raids are being conducted in search of builder Haji Vasi. Police are looking for other accused involved behind the scenes.

 

Due to this, there is an atmosphere of panic in the area as well as there is a possibility of violence once again. Police Commissioner Vijay Singh Meena held a meeting with the religious leaders at the police line on Thursday. Along with this, the DCPs of all the zones have prepared a strategy to maintain the security system in their respective areas.

 

Drones will be monitored in Kanpur, and 5 thousand police personnel deployed

 

There will be round-the-clock surveillance with 8 drone cameras.

 

50 videographers will do video recording in place.

 

25 major intersections of the violence-affected area have been equipped with cameras.

 

There will be a public address system at major intersections and important places.

 

Rapid Action Force will do duty promptly.

 

Water cannons and fire tenders will be available at prominent places.

 

Along with 9 company PAC, 4000 policemen will also be deployed.

 

7 SP, 6 Additional SP, 14 Deputy SP, 74 Inspector, and 306 Sub Inspector will do duty.

 

Policemen in plain clothes will keep surveillance everywhere.

 

2000 Civil Defense volunteers and 1834 newly appointed Police Yuva Mitra will do duty.

 

Efforts to tie up security and information

 

A meeting was held with a total of 164 religious leaders of Kanpur for peace.

 

The peace committee meeting was held at all 38 police stations.

 

4-5 Mohalla meetings were held in every police station area with the help of the Peace Committee.

 

In all the police station areas, patrolling was done on foot with the members of the Peace Committee.

 

In all 38 police station areas, youths were made police friends. It has 50-100 volunteers from each police station.

 

More than 100 videographers will keep an eye on the markets in Saharanpur

 

Violent protests erupted in Saharanpur on June 10 after Friday prayers. Namaz was offered peacefully on 17th June. Since then, Saharanpur is now looking calm. Despite this, the presence of police remains in the area as a precautionary measure. However, life has now returned to normal in the violence-hit area. There is also a police alert regarding the Friday prayers to be held today. More than 100 videographers have been engaged. They will capture the moment-to-moment movement in the camera.

 

Flag March in Meerut; PAC and RAF have handled the front at sensitive places

 

SSP Prabhakar Chaudhary took out a flag march with RAF in Meerut on Thursday evening. The SSP said that security is tight at all sensitive places regarding Friday prayers. In addition to the RAF, other forces have been deployed in the paramilitary force. Instructions have been given to all the COs and station in-charges that the main markets, and sensitive places will be in movement with the force themselves.
