When media persons questioned the Delhi CM about the deaths due to poisonous liquor in Botad, Gujarat, Kejriwal said with folded hands, 'I am in the temple now. From Somnath, Kejriwal left for Rajkot. There he has a meeting with the merchants. The AAP issued a statement saying that Kejriwal will also visit the hospital in Bhavnagar and meet people who are sick after consuming adulterated liquor admitted there.
Earlier on Monday, Kejriwal had termed the deaths due to consumption of spurious liquor as unfortunate and alleged that people were selling liquor illegally in the state, due to political patronage. While demanding a probe into the liquor scandal, he had also demanded to investigate the earnings of people associated with the illegal liquor business.
