Gurgaon bans entry of heavy vehicles on R-Day

Gurgaon, Jan 24 (IANS) Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter Gurgaon from the neighbouring districts Jan 26, police said Saturday.

Due to the restriction on the movement of heavy vehicles in Delhi on Republic Day, there will be no entry for heavy vehicles into Gurgaon on NH-8 (Delhi-Jaipur-Mumbai) highway from all the neighbouring districts.

"These districts include Jhajjar, Mewat, Faridabad, Alwar, Rewari, Palwal from 10 pm (Jan 25) to 01:30 pm (Jan 26)," deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Vinod Kaushik said.
