On Tuesday, the Muslim side also lodged its objection to the carbon dating investigation of the alleged Shivling found in Varanasi's Gyanvapi Mosque. With this, the arguments of both parties on the matter have been completed. Now the next hearing will be on October 14. There is a possibility that the court may pronounce its order on that day.
The matter was heard in the court of Varanasi District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishwesh. The Muslim side has filed an objection to the suit filed on the carbon dating investigation mainly on two points. The first objection is to its originalism. He says that this matter is not related to the original case. The second one, which is being told as Shivling, that figure is sealed on the orders of the Supreme Court.
In the last hearing, the district judge asked the plaintiff whether the application for carbon dating is fixed in originalism or not. On this, advocates Harishankar Jain and Vishnu Shankar Jain had clarified that the matter of visible and invisible deities was spoken about in the court in the case of the right to worship other deities including Shringargauri. So it is also part of fundamentalism. After this, the court sought objection from the Muslim side. On Tuesday, there was an objection from the Muslim side and after completing the arguments, the court reserved its order.
At the same time, the hearing was also held in the fast-track court on the matter of worshiping the figure of Shivling. In this case, the Muslim side has applied for a merit check under Order 7 Rule 11. The court will hear the matter tomorrow.
