With the change in weather, the temperature has also started increasing gradually. However, this time in February itself, the temperature has started breaking many records. Even though the temperature is falling in the morning and evening, the mercury is rising so much in the afternoon that people are already suffering from the heat.

These ups and downs in the weather have already raised the concern of health experts. Meanwhile, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written a letter to all the states alerting them about heat-related diseases. He has asked everyone to pay attention to the 'National Action Plan'.

The temperature reached a high level in many places

In the letter written by the Center, it has been said that in many places the temperature has already reached a high level. In such a situation, diseases caused by heat will also increase. Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said daily monitoring will be done in all states under the National Program on Climate Change and Human Health (NPCCHH). The officials have been asked to ensure preparedness in all the districts for effective preparedness of the health department and health facilities.

Instructions are given for the availability of essential medicines

The letter states that the state health departments need to sensitize medical officers, health workers, and grassroots level workers on heat illness, its early detection, and management. In addition, the departments should ensure the availability of adequate quantities of essential medicines, intravenous fluids, ice packs, ORS, and all necessary equipment. Along with this, instructions have also been issued for the availability of sufficient drinking water in all health facilities.
