68 patients died in Ballia in four days
According to media reports, at least 68 patients have died due to a heatwave from June 15 to June 18 at the district hospital in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The maximum temperature in this region of Uttar Pradesh has reached 43 degrees Celsius. However, most of those who died had pre-existing chronic or age-related ailments, and the heatwave exacerbated their problems, leading to the death of patients.
Why are heat waves dangerous?

In such a situation, there is a risk of heatstroke. Due to this, along with low blood pressure, the level of oxygen can also decrease.
