Homecoming in Bengal: 7 days after talking to Modi for 10 minutes, Mukul Roy will return to Mamta, MLA son Shubhanshu will also join TMC

Mukul Roy, who is angry about his stature in the BJP, has finally decided to return to the Trinamool. In a short time, Mukul will join Mamta's party with his son Shubrangshu. The meeting with his didi continues at Trinamool Bhavan. However, the speculations of his homecoming had started only after he started avoiding BJP meetings. But, the reason was told because of the health of the wife.

Understanding his displeasure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also talked to her for about 10 minutes on the phone only through taking the condition of his wife. But, 7 days after this conversation on June 3, Mukul finally decided that he would return to Trinamool.

Had already taken an appointment with Didi 2-3 days ago

Mukul Roy, who left TMC and joined BJP in November 2017, is currently the National Vice President of BJP. But after the results of the assembly elections, he started distancing himself from the party. Bhaskar was told by reliable sources that he had taken an appointment to meet Didi two three days ago.

Mukul Roy was fielded by BJP from Krishnanagar North seat. He defeated TMC's candidate Kaushani Mukherjee by more than 35 thousand votes. Mukul Roy's son Shubrangshu Roy was also given a ticket by BJP but he lost. Now both father and son are going to join TMC.

Speculations of Mukul Roy and his son joining TMC were being made since the election results. For the past few days, he was not even attending party meetings. The party had given the reason that his wife's health was very bad, so he was not coming to the meeting. At the same time, his son Shubhrangshu also targeted the BJP through his Facebook post a few days ago.

As Shubhendu grew in height, Mukul did not

A senior TMC leader says that Mukul Roy was not given due respect by the BJP, so he is returning to TMC again. Mukul did not get the same respect as Shubhendu Adhikari's stature has grown in BJP. This is also one of the reasons for their uneasiness. Whereas in TMC, Mukul Roy's stature used to be number-2.

Rajiv Banerjee is also in the race, Didi is in no mood to include everyone

Apart from Mukul Roy, there are 33 BJP MLAs and MPs who want to join TMC again. These include leaders like Rajiv Banerjee, Sovan Chatterjee, Sarla Murmu, former MLA Sonali Guha, and footballer-turned-politician Deependu Biswas.

However, senior TMC leaders say that Didi is not in a mood to include everyone, as it will increase discontent in the party. A section of the party wants that those who betrayed before the election should not be included in the party again.

Even before joining the BJP, Rajiv Banerjee has also been special to Mamta and has been winning on a TMC ticket. But after joining BJP, he lost the election. A section of TMC wants that those who want to come back after losing should not be taken at all. However, Mamta Banerjee has not taken any decision in this regard yet.

Mukul had given victory to BJP in the Panchayat elections

It was the election management of Mukul Roy that the BJP performed well in many seats in the Panchayat elections held in 2018. After this, the party created history by winning 18 seats in the Lok Sabha. Mukul Roy had a big role behind this too. As long as he was in TMC, he worked behind the scenes to make an election strategy. He was associated with Didi from the beginning.
