One can study foreign languages along with CA studies at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI Institute). These foreign language courses have been started online by the ICAI Institute with the help of the respective embassy institutions.

Any student or CA member can do a three-month certificate course to develop their language skills. The institute believes that knowing a foreign language will enable CAs to provide better services to foreign customers as well. This course is not compulsory for students and members. ICAI Institute is offering online courses in Spanish, German, Japanese, Business English, and French.

These have been started at the initial level, which will now be gradually expanded. There has been an increase in second foreign language learning globally. In such a situation, ICAI's Committee for Development of International Trade Service has started online foreign language courses. These have been made operational through the respective Language and Cultural Centers of the Foreign Embassies in India.

CA members and students can also acquire technical expertise by acquiring language skills. Having an understanding of the languages can help students better serve foreign customers.

According to ICAI President CA Dr. Debashish Mitra, CA members, and students acquire technical expertise by acquiring language skills. Also, can help to better serve overseas customers. Committee chairman Dheeraj Kumar Khandelwal said that these language programs are a gateway for members and students from other countries.
