In 24 hours, 63,294 reports came corona positive, no country in the world got so many patients; Home delivery of alcohol will resume

In the last 24 hours, 63 thousand 294 new corona patients have been found in Maharashtra. There were not so many cases reported anywhere in the world on Sunday. Countries like America, France, and Brazil have also lagged behind Maharashtra. This is Corona's pace when the state had a two-day weekend lockdown Saturday-Sunday. According to Worldometers, Maharashtra has reached number one in the world in terms of new cases. Maharashtra has overtaken the US, France, and Brazil.

 

The most affected state in India has a mortality rate of 1.7 percent. The total active patient has now been 5 lakh 65 thousand 587. In the last 20 days, 1 lakh 54 thousand 300 people have been infected with corona. On average, 7,715 people are getting corona positive every day. The number of active patients in Mumbai has increased to 67,092.

 

Important meeting today for the economic package to the affected people

CM Uddhav Thackeray will hold a meeting with other cabinet members on Monday i.e. Monday to decide the economic package for the category affected by the lockdown. There can also be a final consensus on complete lockdown. Earlier on Sunday, Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis said that the interests of the public and businessmen should be taken care of.

 

Home delivery of liquor resumed in Mumbai

Meanwhile, BMC has allowed home delivery of liquor in the metropolis from seven in the morning to eight in the night. Home delivery workers must follow all corona prevention rules and everyone must have an RT-PCR or rapid antigen test every 15 days.

 

Vaccination will start in 62 private hospitals in Mumbai from today

Vaccination will resume in 62 out of 71 private hospitals in the city from 12 April (today) after the new consignment of the Covid-19 vaccine was made available by the Brihanmumbai Metropolitan Municipality (BMC). BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal said that vaccination is going on at 49 government centers. About 40 to 50 thousand people will be vaccinated every day in Mumbai. Private vaccination centers were not vaccinated on April 10 and 11 due to a lack of vaccines. Now it will start on Monday (today).

A 54-year-old police officer posted at Mumbai's Vakola police station died of the corona. He was admitted to the Jumbo Center of BKC. So far 101 policemen have died in Mumbai from Corona.

 

Keeping in view the increasing cases of infection, 3 new Covid Jumbo centers will be started soon in Mumbai. Each center will have a facility of 2000 beds. It consists of 200 ICUs and 70% oxygen beds.

 

Corona patients will stay in 5-star hotel in Mumbai

Because of the increasing number of patients, BMC is now going to take 600 rooms of 5-star hotels in its custody. These rooms will keep patients who are positive even after 10 days of treatment. Whose oxygen level is normal, there is no fever. Private hospitals will be responsible for taking care of these patients.

 

Former BJP MLA Pascal Dhanare passed away

Former BJP MLA Pascal Dhanare died on Monday in a private hospital in Mumbai due to a corona infection. Dhanare, 49, was an MLA from Dahanu in Palghar. Earlier, he was admitted to a hospital in Vapi. After his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to Mumbai.

 

The task force recommends a 2-week hard lockdown

 

The state Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, along with the Covid Task Force, became critical on Sunday evening amid the uncontrollable situation in the state. During the meeting, the Chief Minister appeared in favor of an 8-day lockdown to prevent the spread of Corona. On the other hand, some members of the Covid task force said a 14-day stringent lockdown was needed to break the chain.

During the meeting, experts have expressed concern to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray regarding the number of beds, availability of oxygen, and ventilator.

The doctor has expressed the opinion to reduce the stress on the health system.
