In the support of the farmers, the voices rising from the curtains, efforts are also being made to shine the politics in the name of sympathy

New Delhi: Efforts are also being made to mobilize and garner international support for the ongoing farmer movement in India. 36 UK MPs have appealed to intervene by writing letters to the British Foreign Minister regarding this issue. On the other hand, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau once again gave a statement, ignoring the Indian objection to commentary on the peasant movement, calling it a matter related to freedom of expression.

Two days ago, the Foreign Ministry had summoned the Canadian High Commissioner on the comments made by the Canadian Prime Minister and lodged a strict objection to India. According to Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Anurag Shrivastava, Canada has been told that such comments on the internal affairs of a democratic country are inappropriate. Also, it would be better not to offer diplomatic talks for political purposes. (Byte is the reply given in the last 5 minutes in the Foreign Ministry briefing on 3 December 2020).

However, PM Trudeau, ignoring India's advice, once again not only tried to link the peasant movement with freedom of expression but also expressed Canada's support for it. Meanwhile, there are indications that India may once again summon Canadian High Commissioner Nadir Patel.

Former High Commissioner of India in Canada Vishnu Prakash told ABP News that the remarks of these Prime Minister Trudeau are not related to Indian farmers with any sympathy but with their politics. Trudeau, who is leading the Labor Party, considers the Indo-Sikh fraternity based in Canada as his vote bank, as it influences about 12 seats. A dozen seats in a Canadian parliament with only 238 seats in a country with a small population can make or break the equation of power.

Not only this, according to Vishnu Prakash, many pro-Khalistan groups and the Gurudwaras under his control also fund for Trudeau's Labor Party. These elements put pressure on Trudeau and other local leaders to make such statements. Trudeau is more concerned about the loss of his political profits than the benefit of Indian farmers.

Not only in Canada, but also in Britain, the process of advocating and supporting the Indian peasant movement. Has started. 36 British MPs wrote a letter to Foreign Minister Domnik Raab asking for intervention, calling it a matter of great concern for British Sikhs. Most of the Labor Party MPs who gave their names on this letter, headed by MP Taranjit Dhesi.

It is a matter of increasing the streak of trouble on the muscularity of India that in this letter of the British MPs, the agricultural laws have been described as the reason for the concern of their families for the Sikhs that in the present situation, the relationship of Punjab is deteriorating from the center. It is clear that in the border state of Punjab, because of the pressing spark of separatism, there are concerns that farmers may not be able to take advantage of the Khalistani elements under the guise of resentment.

Meanwhile, many organizations have started a series of rallies ranging from donations to donations in support of India's farmer demonstrations in Australia, Canada, and the US. There is no denying the possibility that along with support for democratic values, some separatist elements should try to bake their bread. Activities of organizations like Sikh for Justice banned during anti-farmer activities during anti-farmer activities further fuel such fears.

However, it is interesting to note that in countries where voices have been raised in support of the farmers of India, the same countries have often been opposed to the Indian government's farmer support schemes in institutions like WTO. Keep in mind that in September 2020, the Government of Canada had raised questions on programs like India's Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and Crop Insurance Scheme in the meeting of the WTO's Committee on Agriculture. Similarly, countries like America, Britain, Australia have traditionally opposed agricultural subsidies in India. In such a situation, why foreign MPs, leaders are expressing support for the demand of farmers in India, why they do not appear to give an assurance of changing or changing the stand of their governments.
