Jansen tried his best to make the team win, but Arshdeep dismissed him in the last over and broke South Africa's last hope. For South Africa, Heinrich Klaasen scored 41 runs in 22 balls with the help of one four and four sixes. Klaasen was also made a victim by Arshdeep. For India, Arshdeep took three wickets, while Varun Chakraborty got two and Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel got one wicket each.

 

Tilak's century took the score beyond 200

 

Tilak hit his first century of T20 international career for India, which helped the Indian team cross the 200-run mark. Batting first, India did not have a good start and lost the wicket of Sanju Samson in the opening over itself. Samson was dismissed without opening the account for the second match in a row. However, Abhishek and Tilak then handled the innings and both the batsmen shared a 107-run partnership for the second wicket.

 

Abhishek was dismissed after scoring 50 runs off 25 balls after scoring a half-century.
