India becomes the fastest corona vaccination country, tops the world with more than 100 million doses

New Delhi. Vaccination In India: Corona vaccination campaign is also going on to prevent infection in India at the same rate as corona cases are increasing. The 'Teeka Utsav' has also started in the country on 11 April. This campaign aims to get more and more people vaccinated. The Covid-19 vaccination campaign, which runs from 11 to 14 April, was named 'Teeka Utsav'.

According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health, 10 crores of 45 lakh crore people have been vaccinated in the country so far. In this, around 30 lakh people were vaccinated on the first day of the Tika festival. According to the report, India's average is crossing the 40 lakh mark per day and is the highest globally.

 

The vaccination campaign started on January 16

 

The pace of the vaccination program started from January 16 in the country is increasing steadily. According to the media report, on Saturday, India has given 100 million doses of vaccine in 85 days and with this, India has become the fastest immunization campaign in the world. According to the ministry, it took 89 days to deliver 100 million doses of the vaccine in the US, while China took 102 days to do the work.

 

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also tweeted, "India has given 10 crore doses of corona vaccine in just 85 days. All people are requested to take advantage of the vaccination facility to protect themselves, their family, and friends.

 

The first to be given to health workers under the vaccination started in January. Subsequently, doses of the Corona vaccine were introduced to frontline employees from February. After this, in the next phase starting from March 1, people above 60 years of age and 45 years and above were vaccinated. Currently, the Corona vaccine is being given to all people above 45 years of age from April 1.
