Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat are the most worrisome of the 10 states. India now ranks fourth in the list of most affected countries worldwide in the number of active cases. Many state governments have imposed lockdown and night curfew to prevent rising coronavirus cases.
Maharashtra
To prevent infection in the worst-hit Maharashtra by the Corona epidemic, the state government may decide to impose a lockdown soon. The task force on the Corona epidemic has suggested this in a meeting with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday. The weekend lockdown has been imposed in Mumbai from 8 pm to 7 am on Friday to prevent the spread of infection. Apart from this, steps like night curfew have been taken in many cities.
Delhi
The Delhi government has imposed a night curfew from 10 am to 5 am till 30 April. All social, religious, social, and political programs have been banned. It has now been reduced to 50 percent, eliminating the exemption of sitting on all the seats of buses. Now even 50 percent of the people will be able to travel in the bogie of the metro.
Madhya Pradesh
Because of the corona infection in Madhya Pradesh, the state government has extended the lockdown period to 19 April in Indore, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Barwani, and Shajapur districts. While there is a lockdown in Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Seoni, and Jabalpur districts from April 12 to April 22. Apart from this, there is a complete lockdown in Betul, Ratlam, Khargone, and Katni from 6 pm on April 9 to 6 am on April 17.
Uttar Pradesh
Night curfew has been imposed in Lucknow, Kanpur, and Varanasi from 9 am to 6 am till 30 April. There will be a night curfew in Meerut till April 18 from 10 am to 5 pm. Night curfew in Ghaziabad and Noida from 10 am to 5 pm till 17 April. By 30 April in Kanpur. Night curfew will continue till 20 April in Prayagraj, Bareilly, and Agra.
Rajasthan
Night curfew has been imposed in Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, and Abu Road till April 30, starting from 8 pm to 6 am. At the same time, the night curfew in Udaipur will run from 6 pm to 6 am.
Gujarat
Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Gandhinagar, Anand, Nadiad, Mehsana, Morbi, Dahod, Patan, Godhra, Bhuj, Gandhidham, Bharuch, Surendranagar, Surat, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, and Vadodara from 8 am to 6 pm There will be a night curfew.
Karnataka
Night curfew has been imposed in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Kalaburagi, Bidar, Tumkuru, and Udupi-Manipal from 10 am to 5 am till 20 April.
Jammu and Kashmir
Night curfew has been imposed from 10 am to 6 am in the urban areas of Jammu, Srinagar, Udhampur, Baramulla, Kathua, Anantnag, Budgam, Kupwara.
Punjab
The Punjab government has imposed a statewide curfew from 9 am to 5 am. The curfew timings in Chandigarh are from 10.30 am to 5 am.
Odisha
