India Corona Cases: Active cases lowest in 205 days, 21 thousand cases were reported in the last hour, half found in Kerala

In the last 24 hours, 21,257 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in India. With this, the total number of cases in India increased to 3 crores 39 lakh 15 thousand 569, while the number of active cases decreased to 2,40,221. Active cases are the lowest in 205 days. According to the data updated by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Friday, 271 people also died during this period. With this, the total death toll has gone up to 4,50,127.

 

The daily increase in coronavirus infections has been below 30,000 for 14 consecutive days. If seen here, Kerala is the only state where more than half of the cases coming out in the whole country are being received. On the same day, 12,288 cases were registered in Kerala. At the same time, the number of active cases in the country has come down to 2,40,221, which is 0.71 percent of the total infections, which is the lowest since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 97.96 percent, which is 97.96 percent as of March 2020. The latter is the most. In the last 24 hours, there has been a decrease of 3,977 cases inactive cases.

 

In addition, 13,85,706 tests were conducted on Thursday, taking the total number of COVID-19 tests conducted so far in the country to 58,00,43,190. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.53 percent. It is less than three percent for the last 39 days. The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 1.64 percent. According to the ministry, it has been below three percent for the last 105 days.

 

The number of people recovering from the disease has increased to 3 crores 32 lakh 25 thousand 221. The death rate has been recorded at 1.33 percent. Under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign, more than 93.17 crore doses have been administered in the country so far.

 

India crossed the 20 lakh coronavirus cases mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on 23 August, 40 lakh on 5 September, and 50 lakh on 16 September. It crossed 60 lakhs on 28th September, 70 lakhs on 11th October, 80 lakhs on 29th October, 90 lakhs on 20th November, and crossed the one-crore mark on 19th December. India had crossed the huge figure of two crore COVID-19 cases on May 4 and three crores on June 23.

 

At the same time, 141 people from Kerala and 49 people from Maharashtra are included in 271 new deaths. A total of 4,50,127 deaths have been reported in the country so far, including 1,39,411 from Maharashtra, 37,861 from Karnataka, 35,734 from Tamil Nadu, 25,952 from Kerala, 25,088 from Delhi, 22,896 from Uttar Pradesh, and 18,876 from West Bengal.
