New Delhi, Jan 19 (IANS) Entry to the India Gate has been closed to people from Monday in view of heightened security arrangements for US President Barack Obama who will be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade this year, police officials said.
They said that Central Reserve Police Force personnel have been deployed at entry points of India Gate, which leads to Rajpath, the main venue of the parade.
Various entry points to India Gate have also been barricaded.
Traffic restrictions are also being imposed in the heart of the city and Rafi Marg, Janpath and Man Singh Road will be closed for people Jan 24-26.
