Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers' meeting in Delhi. He tweeted that during the meeting, bilateral relations, especially the restoration of peace in the border areas, were discussed between the two leaders.

Qin's first visit to India after becoming foreign minister
Significantly, this is the first visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang to India after taking over from his predecessor Wang Yi in December last and also his first meeting with S Jaishankar. Ahead of the meeting, the two leaders had said on Wednesday that it values its relations with India and that the two countries share a strong bond.
