Ink attack on Kejriwal

Varanasi, March 25 (IANS) Black ink was thrown at AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal during a road show here Tuesday after he reached Varanasi to take on BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Kejriwal was proceeding slowly in an open vehicle to the ground where he is to address a rally, accompanied by hundreds of supporters, when he was targeted.

The ink stained his face and clothes, and the clothes of senior party leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh.

The man who threw the ink was identified as Ambrish, said to be a member of the Hindu Vahini Sena, informed sources said. Police whisked him away to an unknown destination.

All through the route, many people, seemingly Modi supporters, waved black flags and raised slogans against the Aam Aadmi Party.
