The terrorist threat is once again looming over the country's capital Delhi. Tehreek-e-Taliban's India cell has threatened to carry out attacks in Delhi. After receiving the threat, a high-security alert has been issued all over Delhi. Delhi Police also conducted a search operation in many markets including Sarojini Market late on Tuesday night.

An officer of the Special Cell of Delhi Police said that in the name of Tehreek-e-Taliban, some people have been sent threatening e-mails, which it has been told to blast in Delhi. These people complained about these e-mails to the Uttar Pradesh Police. The UP Police immediately informed the Delhi Police about this.

Search operation went on for hours in Sarojini Market

The Delhi Police increased the force at sensitive places immediately after receiving the input of the attack. At the same time, the search operation was carried out for several hours in Sarojini Nagar Market. A similar search operation is also reported in some other markets of Delhi.

Sarojini Market may be closed today

Ashok Randhawa, President of Sarojini Nagar Mini Market Traders Association said that the market will be closed due to security reasons. "Because of the danger, orders have been given to Delhi Police to close the market," he said. However, Delhi Police has denied receiving any such order. Delhi Police said, 'Our team had gone to Sarojini Market for a precautionary search operation.'

Security alert in Delhi as well as in Uttar Pradesh

A Delhi Police officer said that the person making the threat mail is associated with the Tehreek-e-Taliban India organization. At the same time, a UP Police official said that even though the threat may have been received for Delhi, we have asked to be alert in UP as well.

Efforts are on to track the sender of the mail

With the increase in security in Delhi, the police are busy tracing the sender of the mail. Police officers say that along with the identity of the sender of this mail, the truth of the claims made in the mail is also being ascertained. According to the official, a joint team of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Delhi Police is engaged in the search operation.

IEDs were found in Delhi's Ghazipur and Seemapuri

Earlier on 14 January, security forces had recovered a large number of IED explosives from Ghazipur in Delhi and Old Seema Puri on 18 February. These explosives prepared in Pakistan were sent to India by land or sea. These explosives were defused by the security forces in time. According to the security forces, the strings of explosives found at both places were connected to the same place.

In 2008, there were serial blasts after similar mails.

About 14 years ago today, on September 13, 2008, terrorists sent an e-mail to a big media house saying that there are going to be blasted in Delhi within 5 minutes, if you can stop them, stop them. This mail was sent by the terrorist organization Indian Mujahideen. After this, there were four serial blasts in Delhi. Delhi was completely shaken by these blasts one after the other. The first blast took place near Connaught Place. After this, there were bomb blasts in the Gaffar Market of Karol Bagh and Greater Kailash-1 as well. 21 people died in these blasts and more than 90 people were injured.

Tehreek-e-Taliban is a terrorist organization in Pakistan

Tehreek-e-Taliban is also known as the Taliban of Pakistan. It was established in December 2007. It has a significant influence in the tribal areas near the Afghanistan border in Pakistan. The purpose of this organization is to establish a radical Islamic government based on Sharia in Pakistan.
