However, this injury of Stokes recovered again in the series played against New Zealand and he could bowl only 9 overs in two Tests. Along with this, he appeared in trouble even while batting in the last Test.

Stokes will not be available for the last leg

Significantly, Ben Stokes has already confirmed that he will not be available for the last leg of the IPL. Stokes will return home to play a one-off Test against Ireland and take over as England's captain. After this Stokes will prepare for the Ashes series. The final match of the IPL is to be played on 28 May.
