From Diwali to Chhath Mahaparva, her songs keep resonating in every house, street, and Chhath Ghat. When she breathed her last in Delhi AIIMS late on Tuesday night, a wave of mourning swept not only UP-Bihar but the entire country. Her demise at the age of just 72 is no less than a big shock. According to her son Anshuman Sinha, Bihar Kokila was suffering from a serious disease like multiple myeloma. It is a type of cancer. She has been battling this disease since 2017. But, she did not make her illness public. She always kept raising her voice while smiling among the people.
She became weak in fighting internal battles.
According to Anshuman Sinha, Sharda Sinha has been battling multiple myeloma since 2017. Our family members know this. She wanted her suffering should not be made public. She did not like to work by explaining what she was suffering from. After the death of their father (Brajkishore Sinha), her morale broke down. She suffered a big shock. She broke down completely. Due to this, she became too weak to fight the internal battle. Just after the end of father's shraddha, we came to Delhi for a routine check-up of her health. During this time, her illness started increasing rapidly. Therefore, on the advice of the doctor, she was admitted to AIIMS. After a few days, the condition became such that she breathed her last while fighting the battle in the hospital.
Know, what is multiple myeloma?
According to Dr. BP Singh, a famous cancer specialist of Bihar, who has worked in Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, multiple myeloma is a type of cancer. It affects the patient's bones, kidneys, and the body's ability to make healthy red and white blood cells and platelets. It cannot be completely cured. But, its conditions and symptoms can be treated and its progress can be slowed down. Multiple myeloma is formed in the white blood cells. Healthy cells help fight infection by making antibody proteins. Antibodies search for germs and attack them. In multiple myeloma, cancerous plasma cells form in the bone marrow. Cancer cells drive out healthy blood cells from the bone marrow. Because of this, cancer cells make proteins that do not function properly. Gradually, this weakens the body. Immunity starts decreasing. The patient's health starts deteriorating.
