Sunil Gavaskar's prediction for CSK ahead of IPL 2024: The excitement for Indian Premier League (IPL) season 17 seems to be increasing. IPL 2024 is expected to start in March 2024.

Meanwhile, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will enter the tournament to defend their sixth title. CSK won the trophy for the fifth time by defeating Gujarat Titans in the final of IPL 2023. In the mini-league held in Dubai on 19 December, all the teams selected their players.

 

 

 

Gavaskar predicted

Meanwhile, now former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has predicted CSK on Star Sports. He said that CSK will once again qualify for the playoffs. The former captain said, "I think it will be in the top four. You can't say yes to any team, but you can say yes to the favorites."

The way CSK has performed in the last several years. They have qualified for the playoffs 12 out of 16 times. Meanwhile, he can qualify 13 times also. If you look at the 2024 auction, they have strengthened their weak points.

 

Last year, they were lacking a bit in bowling and with the retirement of Ambati Rayudu, they needed to strengthen the middle order, which they have done. They have a good mix of young and senior players.

 

2024 Dhoni's last IPL
