Irfan Pathan claims - many finishers came, but there is no finisher like MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni's bat did not run as much in the IPL 2019 and 2020 seasons, but in IPL 2022 he has been in amazing form. Even the former captain has finished some matches for Chennai Super Kings. For this reason, once again MS Dhoni is getting praise as a finisher. Former cricketer Irfan Pathan also claims that many finishers came, but no one can replace MS Dhoni.

 

Irfan Pathan said on Star Sports, "MS Dhoni is the greatest finisher in the history of IPL, year after year many more players have been added to this list, but no one has been able to make Dhoni out of that category. He is in this league. He is a true brand ambassador." MS Dhoni was recently instrumental in helping Chennai Super Kings win a nearly lost match against Mumbai Indians.

 

MS Dhoni had scored a half-century in the very first match of IPL 2022 and this half-century also matters because Chennai's team was in bad shape. Apart from this, MS Dhoni had not played a single professional match for the last 6-7 months, despite this, he played a strong inning. However, the team had to face defeat in that match. MS Dhoni has left the IPL captaincy.
