Irfan's big statement on Hardik's captaincy: IPL captaincy lasts for two months, and a lot has to be learned to become the leader of Team India

Hardik Pandya, who made Gujarat Titans IPL champion based on his captaincy, has to learn a lot to become the captain of Team India. This is to say of former Indian fast bowler and commentator Irfan Pathan. Irfan was in Bhopal on Monday and had come here to attend a private event.

The 37-year-old former all-rounder said in this program, 'Pandya has undoubtedly captained the top class, but there is a difference between the captaincy of the IPL franchise team and the captaincy of the Indian team. The captaincy of the league is only for two months. Whereas the captaincy of the country is different.

Irfan also praised the decision to make KL Rahul the captain of Team India and said that against South Africa we will get to see a different captaincy.

India is at par with Australia, England, and Pakistan in fast bowling

On the pace battery (Umran, Mohsin, Kuldeep, Arshdeep, famous Krishna) that came out of the current season, the former fast bowler said that we are very lucky that we have got such a good army of fast bowling. Due to this, we have come to par with Australia, and England in terms of fast bowling. Earlier we used to look at Australia, England, and Pakistan in terms of fast bowling, but now the eyes of the whole world are on us. We can produce that pace battery. Talking about the famous, that boy who throws the ball at the speed of 148, the line length is also good, he is of long height, which gives bounce. We have a wealth of talent.

RR didn't have depth in batting

On the question of GT's strong and RR's weak side in the final match, Irfan said that Gujarat's strongest side is its bowling attack. Which makes him richer than others. His finishers also did a good job. At the same time, the RRK batting lineup did not have that much depth. I am talking, at number 6-7 where Ashwin plays, he batted well, but he was a bit slow. When a critical situation comes and if you don't have firepower then you have 15-20 runs less. Which happened in yesterday's final match.

Umran is a strong bowler, will learn now

Umran Malik is a strong bowler, will learn now. Looking in the other world, there are one or two bowlers. Which can bowl the ball at a speed of 157 km/h. Fergusson has done the work Nokia can do. There is a lot of potential in Umran. He who has potential will also make mistakes. Because he is young and hasn't played much first-class cricket.

When I was a mentor in Jammu and Kashmir and was preparing it. Then his jump out was very high, which spoiled the line. As they jump out straightened out, the pace also increased. His control off-line became better. The ball started coming on the seam. But, much more work remains to be done. I am sure the coach, captain, and senior bowlers will take care of him. Because hitting the ball on Rohit Sharma's head is not an easy task as he likes the pull very much. Umran's ball hit his head too. Even Rohit took time to survive.

Suryakumar best at number 4, and Pandya also a good option

On Hardik's question, Pathan said that he is a brilliant all-rounder and is coming back from injury. In such a situation, his performance in the next tournament will be worth watching. If all goes well, I think Hardik can play at No.4 in the top order in the World Cup. By the way, Suryakumar is the best at this number. If he is present then Pandya can be in the role of 5th or finisher.

My career was cut short by injury, not Chappell

On his career, Pathan said that my career has been cut short due to injury and not because of Chappell. People forcibly make the chapel a screen board.
