India on Thursday said it is in touch with Russian authorities over the arrest of an alleged Islamic State (IS) terrorist arrested in Russia. It is known that the terrorist was planning to target the politicians of the ruling party in India. Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said, "We are fully aware of this matter and are also in touch with the Russian authorities on this matter." However, due to security reasons, we are not able to provide further details on this matter. Arindam Bagchi was replying to a question related to the matter at the media briefing.
