
Russia has arrested a suicide bomber associated with the terrorist organization Islamic State (IS), who was trying to attack India. The news agency Sputnik has given this news quoting officials of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB). According to this, the attacker who has been apprehended by the Russian authorities was planning a terrorist attack against the elite of the Indian leadership.
A statement issued by the authority said, "The detained terrorist is a native of a country in the Central Asian region." He had planned to commit a terrorist act against one of the representatives of the ruling circles of India by blowing himself up. This terrorist was recruited by one of the IS leaders as a suicide bomber in Turkey.
Government's eye on terrorist activities
Significantly, the Islamic State and all its affiliates have been notified as terrorist organizations. Along with this, it has also been included in the First Schedule of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 by the Central Government.
