Israel-Hamas War: 'If needed, Israel will stand alone', Netanyahu said on US threat to stop arms

A fierce war has been going on in the Gaza Strip for more than seven months. Meanwhile, the Israeli army has said it has the necessary weapons to advance its attacks on Gaza's southern city of Rafah.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Daniel Hagari was asked during a press conference whether the military could conduct operations without American weapons. To this, Hagari said, the army has all the weapons for the operations it is planning. We also have all the weapons we need for the operation in Rafah.

Hagari also addressed US President Joe Biden's statement that he would not supply offensive weapons that Israel could use to launch an all-out attack on Rafah, Hamas' last stronghold in Gaza. An IDF spokesman said close relations with the US remain. Disagreements should be resolved behind closed doors.

America has not yet constructed a temporary sea pier on the Gaza coast. But a first aid ship left for that proposed pier in the early hours. It is also not clear when the corridor will be built and when it will be operational. Humanitarian groups say war-ravaged Palestinians still face barriers to food.

Cyprus announced the departure of the ship. However, the US Army has not yet built this permanent pier. In such a situation, the question remains how the help will be distributed. The United Nations says most of the 2.3 million Palestinians are facing hunger. Northern Gaza is already facing total famine.

Biden said on Wednesday that the US will not supply offensive weapons after tensions escalated between the two close allies. At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday, if we have to stand alone, we will stand alone. We will fight with our nails if we need to. But we have more weapons than nails.
