Kulgam Encounter: The Encounter ends after 40 hours in Kulgam, security forces eliminate three terrorists from the valley

The ongoing encounter between terrorists and security forces in Kulgaon, Jammu, and Kashmir ended today. On Wednesday, security forces also killed a top 'commander' of the Lashkar-e-Taiba branch TRF involved in several cases of killing of civilians.


 

Last Tuesday also two terrorists were killed in an encounter. Overall, security forces have killed three terrorists in this operation. Now the Indian Army has given information regarding the end of the operation in this regard.


 

40-hour campaign

According to the information, the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army posted on the Internet media. A joint operation, which began on the intervening night of 6th and 7th May in Redwani Pine, general area of Kulgam, has ended after about 40 hours of continuous surveillance. In this, three terrorists have been killed by the army. Chinar Corps is committed to maintaining peace and tranquility in Kashmir.


 

Operation Redwani Pine completed

The Indian Army has completed 'Operation Redwani Pine', killing three terrorists after a 40-hour surveillance, officials said on Thursday. This was said in a post on X from the official handle of the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army.


 

Earlier on Tuesday, a fierce exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces in the Redwani Pine area of Kulgam in South Kashmir. After this, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police jointly started the operation.


 

Army convoy was attacked

It is noteworthy that on May 4, an Indian Air Force officer was killed and four others were injured after suspected terrorists targeted a convoy from across the border in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The area where the attack took place is between Sanai Top in the border district of Surankote and the Gursai area of Mendhar.


 

Indian Air Force Corporal Vicky Pahade lost his life in the terrorist attack in Poonch. The mortal remains of the martyred soldier were brought to Nagpur by a special aircraft from Udhampur, from where it was brought to Chhindwara by a special army helicopter, where state Chief Minister Mohan Yadav paid tribute to him. A large number of people had gathered to pay respect to Pahade.
