After these blasts, security has been increased on the National Highway including Udhampur town. Vehicles are being checked by putting additional checkpoints. Not only this but security forces have also been deployed in the busy areas of the town.
Confirming the blast, ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh said that the first blast occurred in a bus parked at a petrol pump near Domel Chowk in Udhampur, while the second blast took place in a bus parked inside the old bus stand this morning. Both these explosions were the same. While two people, including the conductor, were injured in the night's bomb blast, no one was reported injured in this morning's bomb blast.

Eyewitnesses said that the blast took place in a bus JK14C-3636 plying between Udhampur-Ramnagar. It is being told that this explosion was stronger than the explosion in the bus parked at Domel petrol pump the night. The bus got blown up in this blast while other buses parked nearby were also damaged. A police official said that a preliminary investigation has revealed that the blast took place inside the bus.
An atmosphere of panic prevailed among the people: It was fortunate that no one was on board the bus when the blast took place. No one was reported injured in this blast. Due to these two bomb blasts one after the other in Udhampur within eight hours, an atmosphere of panic prevailed among the people. However, police officials have asked people to exercise restraint. He has claimed that very soon the anti-national elements behind these blasts will be unearthed.
