Canada has advised its citizens traveling to India not to go to the border states such as Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. The Canadian government has said there is a risk of underground explosives and security in these areas. Canada said in an advisory issued to its citizens, 'Do not go to areas up to 10 kilometers from the border of Pakistan. These areas of Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Punjab are prone to landmines and explosives. There could be a serious security threat here. This advisory from Canada is shocking.

In such a situation, it is believed that this step has been taken in response to the advisory issued by the government to Indians regarding the possibility of hate crime in Canada. Therefore questions are being raised about the decision of the Government of Canada. The Government of Canada, in an advisory issued on its website on September 27, has said that they should travel carefully across the country while visiting India. Canada has said in its advisory that there is a risk of terrorist attacks in every area of India. However, Ladakh has been kept out of it.

Canada has advised its citizens not to travel to the northeastern states like Manipur and Assam unless necessary. Canada said there was a risk of terrorism and insurgent attacks in both these states. In fact, on 23 September itself, the Government of India issued an advisory to its citizens and students living in Canada and advised them to be careful because of hate crimes and anti-India activities. It is believed that this advisory has passed to Canada and it has issued this order in response to it.
