Along with this, the second phase examination is also going to be held this month. In such a situation, there is a doubt in the mind of the students whether they should appear in the second stage of JEE Main or should prepare for JEE Advanced. JEE Main 2022: If the percentile is more than 99.5 then focus on preparing for advanced
Regarding what is the best option for the students, Ahuja said that students have two options to give the JEE-Main exam this year. Those students whose June JEE-Main percentile is more than 99.5, those students should prepare for the JEE-Advanced exam with full focus. Because of this percentile, the option of getting a core branch in a good NIT has been secured.
Whereas, students with a score between 99.5 to 98.5 percentile can appear for JEE-Main or start preparing for JEE-Advanced at their convenience. However, students whose percentile is less than 98.5 should focus on preparing for JEE-Main, July session as well as JEE Advanced. These suggestions are subject to change by category.
This may be the eligibility cut-off for JEE Advanced 2022
Counselor Amit Ahuja said that after both the attempts of JEE-Main, the top 2.5 lakh students, including all categories, would be declared qualified to appear for the advanced examination. According to the last year's data, about 9.40 lakh students took the exam including all four attempts of JEE-Main.
