KKR got relief as Venkatesh returned to form
Kolkata played its last match on this ground and won easily against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Therefore, it is unlikely that it will make any changes in its playing-11. The relief for KKR is that its most expensive player Venkatesh Iyer has returned to form, while Rinku Singh and captain Ajinkya Rahane also made significant contributions. Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi also impressed. However, the opening pair remains a matter of concern for KKR. Quinton de Kock and Sunil Narine have failed to give the team an aggressive start like Phil Salt last season.
Pant needs to return to form
The worry for Lucknow is that its captain Rishabh Pant's bat has not worked yet. Pant is the most expensive player to be sold in the IPL auction, but has not been able to perform at that level so far. It seems unlikely that Lucknow will make any changes in the playing-11.
