Jharkhand: Recognition of private universities that do not follow UGC guidelines will be canceled, Governor gave instructions

Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais issued an important guideline on Thursday. Governor Ramesh Bais has directed the officials that if any private university is found to be violating the norms set by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the government, then the recognition of such universities should be canceled.

 

Instructions issued

 

On Thursday, the notification of the instructions of the Governor has also been issued. According to this, Governor Bais, during a review meeting with the officials of the Higher and Technical Education Department at Raj Bhavan, said that before giving recognition to a university, it is necessary to ensure whether it has adequate land, building, and infrastructure. ,

 

Not following UGC and government rules

 

The Governor has said that many institutions were running with insufficient resources. At the same time, in some cases, UGC norms and government rules were not being followed. The vice-chancellors have been directed to follow the norms and develop infrastructure. He said that private universities must follow all the norms in the interest of the students. The governor is the ex-officio chancellor of the universities.
