Jonny Bairstow and Marijan Cap won the ICC Player of the Month award, created panic with the bat

The ICC on Monday announced the Player of the Month award for June 2022. The award has been given to England's explosive batsman Jonny Bairstow in men's cricket and South Africa's Marizanne Kapp in the women's category. Bairstow has won the award, beating compatriot Joe Root and Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand.

 

Bairstow has batted brilliantly in recent times. He scored a century in both the innings of the fifth test match against India and led England to victory. Apart from this, he also performed brilliantly in the Test series against New Zealand. In Women's Cricket, South Africa's Marizanne Cap was selected as the ICC Player of the Month for June.
