Activists of the Hindu organization on Monday filed a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Mandya to allow the worship of Anjaneya's idol at the Jamia Masjid located in Mandya, Karnataka. Activists claimed that the structure was originally a temple, which was converted into a mosque. He has sought permission to worship in the mosque.

They have also sought permission to bathe in the pond located on the mosque premises.
