Activists of the Hindu organization on Monday filed a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Mandya to allow the worship of Anjaneya's idol at the Jamia Masjid located in Mandya, Karnataka. Activists claimed that the structure was originally a temple, which was converted into a mosque. He has sought permission to worship in the mosque.

The activists claimed that the Jamia Masjid has been built on the Anjaneya temple. He also claimed that there is historical evidence that the mosque was an Anjaneya temple. He claimed that Tipu Sultan had written about this in a letter to King Khalif of Persia and demanded that the Archaeological Department should consider the documents and investigate the matter. They have also sought permission to bathe in the pond located on the mosque premises.

A Varanasi court had last month ordered an inspection of the premises through advocate commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra on a lawsuit filed jointly by five Hindu women. The Allahabad High Court confirmed the order of the Civil Court. On Monday, the third day of the survey of Gyanvapi Masjid, the matter of getting Shivling as evidence has come to the fore. After the survey, an advocate of the Hindu side, Dr. Sohanlal came out and said that Baba has been found inside. After this information, the court has asked to seal the place.
