New Delhi, Feb 10 (IANS) AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal Tuesday met Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung to convey that he had been elected leader of the legislature party, an official statement said.

Kejriwal met Jung soon after his election as the leader of legislature party following AAP's landslide victory in the Delhi election. Jung is expected to send his report to the President Pranab Mukherjee for revocation of President's Rule in Delhi.

A release from the Jung's office said that Kejriwal "conveyed that he has been elected as the leader of the Delhi Aam Aadmi Party legislature party."

"The lt. governor will now send his report, with his recommendation, to the president of India," the release added.

Delhi has been under President's Rule for almost a year following resignation of 49-day old AAP government headed by Kejriwal last February.
