Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a press conference on Thursday. During this, he expressed concern over the filth of Yamuna. Also, give six action points. He said that the cleaning of Yamuna would be completed by 2025.

CM Kejriwal said that it took 70 years for the Yamuna river to become so dirty. It cannot be cleaned in two days. I had promised people in the Delhi elections that it would be cleared by the next elections. We have started work on a war footing. We have six action points on this, I am personally monitoring it.

He said that in the first action plan, we are working on sewerage treatment on a war footing. First of all, new sewer treatment plants are being built. Second- capacity of existing plants is being increased, third- technology of old treatment plants is being changed. Fourth- The waste from the slums which goes into the rivers, will now be mixed in the sewer. Fifth- In some areas, people have not taken sewer connection, we have decided to install sewer connection in such areas at nominal charges. Sixth- The work of siltation will be done.

Arvind Kejriwal said that six action points will be implemented to clean the Yamuna river. He expressed hope that the cleaning of Yamuna would be completed by 2025.

Here are six action points

, Will work on building new sewer treatment plants at a very low cost.

, Cleaning of drains will be done with the help of technology.

, Increasing the capacity of sewer treatment plans.

, Will curb industrial waste.

, Industries will have to send the waste to the treatment plant.

, The work of mixing the filth of the slums in the sewer.
