The farmers, who have been protesting on the borders of Delhi for the last 11 months, have been asked by the Supreme Court to leave the way. After this, there was a stir at the Delhi-Ghaziabad border i.e. UP Gate. On Thursday, farmers have removed their tents from the service lane under the flyover at UP Gate.
On this occasion, Rakesh Tikait, National Spokesperson of BKIU said that not the farmers, Delhi Police have blocked the roads by putting up barriers. Rakesh Tikait says that vehicles are coming to the barricading. Remove Delhi Police barricading. Tikait said that the United Kisan Front will decide whether the farmers will go to Delhi when the road opens.
Talking to reporters, Tikait also said that if the Indian government does not agree, the movement will continue. He said that the farmers will not move from here but will give way to the people. Rakesh Tikait said that we will put up a poster here that the Government of India has blocked the way.
What did the Supreme Court order
Since November last year, the farmers who have been protesting against agriculture laws on all the borders of Delhi, have been asked by the Supreme Court to leave the way. The top court made it clear that protests cannot be held by blocking roads. The Supreme Court of the country has said in its decision that farmers have the right to protest but the roads cannot be closed indefinitely. On the other hand, the United Kisan Morcha says that the police have blocked the roads, not the farmers who protested.
The Supreme Court has directed the United Kisan Morcha and other farmers' unions to file their response within four weeks on a plea seeking removal of protesting farmers from the streets. For a long time, farmers have camped on the roads near the Delhi border, due to which the traffic on these roads is badly affected. The matter will come up for hearing on December 7.
Kisan United Front issued a statement
Kisan United Front has issued a statement saying, "Farmers brothers, this rumor is being spread that Ghazipur border is being vacated. This is completely baseless, we are showing that the road has been closed by the Delhi Police and not by the farmers.
