New Delhi: Due to the lockdown in the country, it has been more than 40 days of air travel stopped. Now the third phase of lockdown is going on. It is expected that the lockdown will end at the earliest and air travel can be restored. But apparently now flights cannot be operated with the old system, so a new system is necessary.

Prior to the lockdown, the arrangement from taking boarding passes to boarding the aircraft at Delhi airport was different. But now the picture is about to change after lockdown. At present, the airport is empty because it has been closed for the last 43 days due to lockdown.

GMR company, which takes charge of the airport, has also started preparations for opening the airport. In this episode, social distancing is being taken care of for parking of vehicles at the airport. Along with this, special arrangements have also been made for luggage trolleys because the fear remains that first of all any passenger uses these trolleys to keep their luggage. So keeping this in mind, special care will be taken for their sanitization.

With this, when the passenger goes inside the airport, he should have at least contact with the people, keeping in mind that the boarding pass kiosk has also been installed outside the airport. Through this machine, passengers can remove the boarding pass based on their PNR or by scanning the barcode and then go directly inside. When the passenger will take boarding pass and enter to go inside the airport, then during that time marks have also been placed outside the gate to follow social distancing.

Even after going inside the airport, people will not be exposed to corona virus infection in any way. For this, spraying and sanitization will be done from place to place. This work will run for 24 hours a day and has already started. Not only this, if someone has the goods and also has to put those things in the baggage, then special arrangements have been made about them which are different from the first. Must tag the tag in your luggage yourself.

After this, when the passenger will proceed for further security check, the security personnel engaged in security check will also check using mask and gloves with full caution. Meanwhile, security personnel deployed in security will also continue to sanitize hands. Different gates will be fixed for different airlines and passengers of those airlines will be able to use the same gate. Meanwhile, if a passenger has to use the toilet too, there is a lot of emphasis on sanitization there too. So that in any case, no passenger gets corona infection through the toilet.

After this, when you move towards the aircraft, social distancing will have to be followed there too. There will also be special arrangements inside the aircraft so that the corona infection can be prevented from spreading. There will be emphasis on continuous masking and social distancing. There will be continuous announcements about this from outside the airport to inside the aircraft. However officially the Ministry of Civil Aviation will issue some guidelines regarding this.

If a similar aircraft comes to Delhi, some similar procedure will be followed there too. For example, special attention will be given to social distancing and masks inside the aircraft and passengers will be given only after sanitizing the luggage at the exit.

That is, GMR, which operates the airport, has almost completed the preparations from now. Now air travel will change to a much greater extent than before. Continuous efforts will be made to prevent the spread of corona infection from arriving at the airport to air travel and after exiting the airport after taking the flight and keeping in mind all these arrangements have been made.
