TMS leaders met the Election Commission

Earlier on Monday, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders once again raised the issue of misuse of central agencies in Bengal. In this matter, a delegation of TMC leaders including Derek O'Brien, Dola Sen, Saket Gokhale, and Sagarika Ghosh met the Election Commission with their demands.

During this, the TMC delegation demanded that the heads of CBI, NIA, ED, and Income Tax Department should be changed. It is known that TMC has been continuously alleging that the central investigative agencies are targeting opposition parties at the behest of the BJP-led Centre.

NIA team attacked

A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) was attacked on Saturday morning in Bhupatinagar in the East Midnapore district of West Bengal. NIA officials had arrived there to investigate the 2022 blast case at the house of a Trinamool Congress leader when the angry mob started pelting stones at their car, due to which the windscreen of the car was damaged. An officer was injured in this incident.
