Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will launch the website of 'Son of Mother Bharti' today. After the launch of the website, the common people of the country will also be able to help the brave sons of war casualties. It will be launched during a function organized at the National War Memorial Complex in Delhi. The megastar of the century Amitabh Bachchan will be its goodwill ambassador.

The ceremony will be attended by the Chief of Defense Staff, the three service chiefs, Param Vir Chakra awardees, and other prominent officers of the Defense Ministry. Apart from this, the presidents of many banks and many celebrities will also be involved.

Common citizens will be able to contribute to the Armed Forces War Casualties Welfare Fund (AFBCWF) through the website of 'Maa Bharti Ke Sons'. The amount will be used to provide financial assistance to the next of kin and dependents of war casualties.

 

The Defense Ministry said in a statement, “The Government of India has launched several welfare schemes for the soldiers who have been disabled or martyred in war. There was a strong public sentiment and request from the patriotic citizens, and corporate heads of industries that contribution should be made for the welfare of soldiers and their families.'
