The Maharashtra government has canceled the annual Class 10 board exams for the year 2021 on Friday, May 28, due to the rising outbreak of the Korena epidemic. Along with this, the Education Department of the Government of Maharashtra has also announced to provide financial assistance to the children of the victims of the Corona epidemic. Children of those who lost their lives due to Covid-19 will be given financial assistance from the Maharashtra Education Department during their studies up to the higher secondary level.

Giving information about the decision regarding board examinations in the state, Maharashtra's School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said that the board exam result for class 10th will be based on examinations conducted in class 9th and 10th (internal marks). We will try to declare the result of class 10th by the end of June 2021. Those who are not satisfied with their results can later write for the CET exam.

Maharashtra Education Minister Gaikwad also said that the Maharashtra Education Department has announced financial assistance to the students of 1st to 12th grade who have lost parents due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

Significantly, earlier on Thursday, Kerala Chief Minister P Vijayan announced on Thursday that ₹ 3,00,000 would be given as immediate relief to the children of those who lost their lives due to coronavirus infection and ₹ 2,000 from the Kerala government. Before Kerala, several state governments, including the Uttar Pradesh government, Delhi government, Madhya Pradesh government, have made announcements in this regard.
