The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has declared the results for the Class 12 (HSC) examination held in 2026. This year, the state recorded an overall pass percentage of 89.79%. The Board’s Chairman, Trigun Kulkarni, announced the results on Saturday. Students can check their results online starting from 12:00 PM.
Girls Continue to Outperform
Once again this year, girls have outperformed boys. The pass percentage for female students stood at 93.15%, while the pass percentage for male students was recorded at 86.80%. Consequently, a gap of 6.35% was observed between the two groups—a trend that has persisted this year, just as in previous years.
Statistics from Previous Years
A look at the statistics from previous years reveals that this disparity has remained consistent:
2025: Girls 94.58%, Boys 89.51%
2024: Girls 95.44%, Boys 91.60%
2023: Girls 93.73%, Boys 89.14%
How to Check the Results
Students can check their results through multiple platforms to ensure accessibility, even in the event of heavy traffic on the website. The official websites available for this purpose are mahresult.nic.in, mahahsscboard.in, and hscresult.mkcl.org.
To view their results, students must visit the website and click on the link labeled “HSC Examination February 2026 Result.”
Next, they will be required to enter their Seat Number and their mother’s first name (enter “XXX” if the name is not available).
Upon clicking “View Result,” the result will appear on the screen; it can then be downloaded or printed.
Conduct of the Examination
The Maharashtra Board’s Class 12 examinations were conducted between February 10 and March 18, 2026. Students can also access their digital mark sheets via the DigiLocker and UMANG apps. Additionally, a facility to check results via SMS service has also been provided. Overall, this year’s results have been satisfactory, and it has once again been proven that female students are consistently performing better.
