Gurgaon, March 4 (IANS) A 33-year-old man, working as a supervisor at a car showroom, has been arrested on charges of raping a 19-year-old woman working in the same place, police said on Wednesday.
Manoj Patnaik, a native of West Bengal who works at the car showroom near Sector 14 on Mehrauli-Gurgaon (MG) Road, was arrested for raping a woman from Odisha.
The woman said in her complaint that she was working as a housekeeping staff in the showroom for the last eight months, and lived in a rented accommodation.
She accused Patnaik -- who is married and has two children -- of taking her to his room and raping her there.
The woman is four months pregnant. She said in her complaint that when she informed Patnaik about it, he forced her to go for abortion.
The woman refused and filed a police complaint.
Patnaik will be presented before a court on Thursday.
